Scrub-a-dub
After finding out that claw foot tubs contain lead in their porcelain, we got rid of ours and have had some delays in getting a new tub installed. Evelyn didn't take as well to showers as her brother did, so we found this tub for her and she just loves splashing and playing with her bath toys in it.

So, as a lover of old tubs (though not [yet] an owner of one), I'm confused. Why is the lead in the porcelain a concern? Isn't it all bound together? Or is the problem only if the porcelain flaking and possibly airborne, same as paint?
