Happy Birthday, Statue of Liberty
The actual birthday was a few weeks ago - Malcolm's class had a whole day of festivities at his school since they were working on their statue of liberty unit. They drew a life-size statue of liberty head on the asphalt, measured out the height of the lady plus pedestal, plus base on the school yard, and even sampled some cream puffs made by his teacher.

Malcolm, you've seen the Statue of Liberty from the ferry. Next time we'll have to make a trip to climb up into her crown.

Oma - Next time I would like to go up in the statue of liberty. I would like to take the ferry out and onto the island where the statue of liberty is. On the island we are going to have to go through a lot of steps. Love, Malcolm
