Inch by inch, row by row

Malcolm was recently introduced to earthworms, and he loves them so much that he begs us to dig for them. He carries them around very gently, and has never squished one. He is so excited when we find one, and immediately picks it up, once holding four at a time. He gives the worms royal treatment, blows them kisses, gives them little pats on their backs, and even pretends to feed them.

Our little birder

At the marsh last weekend, we were treated to a scene of a hundred or so Godwits flying just over our heads as they took flight from an island nearby. After they passed, Malcolm pointed up and made his little sign for more. I want more birds, Mommy, more birds!

Musical chairs

Since the moving truck arrived on February 19, Malcolm has slept in four different beds and eaten at four different tables, including Grandma & Grandpa's where we still temporarily reside. Here he is enjoying his lunch at our first stop, Wisconsin neighbors Kristen, Paul, and Grace's house.
